Jedox Platform Release Notes

We are reducing the number of major Jedox releases per year, and now reserve them for pivotal moments in our software's evolution. Major releases will mark milestones characterized by the introduction of substantial enhancements and innovations. The next major release is planned for Fall 2024.

As with all previous Jedox Cloud deployments, we will continue to deliver regular patches for current Jedox releases, including bug fixes, frictionless improvements, new features, as well as security and performance enhancements.

We will continue to maintain support for versions released within the last 12 months.

AI in Jedox

New AI-powered Jedox Help Center

Now generally available to users, the new Jedox Help Center relies on an advanced AI Search engine able to engage in natural language conversations, sifting through the Knowledge Base to provide simple step-by-step instructions to solve your questions and technical issues in no time.

Some of the AI Jedox Help Center advantages are:

  • Natural language understanding: being able to ask questions in human-like language makes the search process easier, quicker, and more focused.
  • Step-by-step guidance: tasks like mastering new features or troubleshooting take a shorter time and less effort.
  • Personalized answers: the assistant learns from previous interactions and starts tailoring responses according to the user.
  • Digital accessibility: text-based interactions offer easier navigation than other interfaces.

An important note before diving into the new Jedox Help Center is that the AI Search uses ChatGPT to generate results. Therefore, discretion and discernment are essential. Don't share confidential information. Also bear in mind that, although the search engine will improve over time, it can still generate incorrect responses and unreliable content. You can always resort to the Jedox Knowledge Base to confirm the validity of the information.

Dynatables (New Views)

Dynatables

Dynatables enable you to access In-Memory DB Views directly within Jedox Web UI (independently of Jedox Web Spreadsheets). The Dynatables UI is integrated into the top-level navigation of Jedox Web, alongside sections like Reports, Designer, and Modeler.

Opening existing Dynatables

When users click on the Dynatables in the navigation bar, they can see a comprehensive list of all the stored Dynatables, open the Dynatables , and explore them

Creating new Dynatables

Users who have the minimum access rights of "W" for the "sub-set view" can create Dynatables.

Modifying Dynatables

To alter the presentation of your report, users can use "Pivot". They can drag and drop dimensions into their Dynatables sections or interchange the dimensions displayed in the Point of View (POV), Rows, and Columns.

Saving Dynatables

Once a Dynatable is customized, users can save it for later use. Moreover, when they require similar Dynatables with slight variations, they can utilize the "Save as" function to duplicate and save their Dynatables under a distinct name or ID.

Web

Improved session handling

The default session timeout has been significantly increased to 60 minutes. When sessions expire, the user will now be redirected to the login page, rather than receiving error messages and generic errors.

Canvas

Result string in the Edit expression dialog

The result string in the “Edit expression” pop-up dialog of Canvas is now truncated to 150 characters and shows an ellipsis “…” once the limit is reached.

Integrator

Google Sheets integration

Jedox now offers seamless integration to Google Sheets with a dedicated connector, extract, and load.

Export and import multiple Integrator projects

Multiple projects can be selected in the Import/Export dialog. Files can be dragged into the dialog or selected from an explorer window.

New option for case-insensitive sorting

Elements can now be sorted without regard to case in TableView and TreeView transforms, and RelationalTable and CosmosSQL extracts. These options appear as “ascendingCaseInsensitive” and descendingCaseInsensitive”.

The other sorting options (“asc” and “desc”) have been renamed “ascending” and “descending”.

Connections to Sharepoint locations now support oauth2RefreshToken

Jedox now supports two token authentication methods for OAuthToken connections to Sharepoint locations: oauth2PasswordCredential and, as of 24.1, oauth2RefreshToken.

Improved UI performance when opening Integrator projects

Integrator UI now loads resources only when they are needed, improving initial loading times of projects.
