• Cell Tracer: trace calculation paths and quickly understand underlying rules and dependencies.

• Variables in Views: use named ranges in Excel workbook (e.g., for Month, Currency, Cost Center) to control multiple Views from a single source.

• New PALO.SUBSET.OPTIONS function, helpful for handling Subsets in the Add-in. Combine with existing PALO.SUBSET functions to precisely control the Subset orientation and outputs.

• Credentials autofill: users with username / password accounts can now save their login credentials in Excel's built-in login manager to avoid repeated logins.
• Information hub: access to best practices, version information, and call-for-feedback links every time you open the login dialog. 
• Ignore the order of arguments: enabling the option ensures that the PALO functions remain valid when the cube layout is changed by including PALO.EL in the function arguments.
• Support for copy / paste: copy table values and paste them into a View or a PALO function area to trigger an automatic writeback while retaining the formulas. Note that Views must be detached in order to perform this operation.

Feature enhancements for Views

• Easier access to the save actions with the Save View button.
• Renamed the labeling of the "Keep Only" functionality to Keep.
• Simplified removal of elements from rows or columns using the Remove button.
• Enable / disable the displayed Views' number format from the Modeler using the Number Format button.

Redesigned the initialization process of the task pane

A new “Welcome back” window appears when the add-in is restarted, allowing it to be initialized more quickly. In addition, you can access the logs without having to navigate to the settings.

Fixed the following Known Issue and removed it from the article

• TOI-199: "When detaching a View that contains a function such as SUM in the POV, the DATA formulas will return a #VALUE error as functions are currently not supported for the detach context."

Static Views

Allows pasting Views on spreadsheets without PALO functions while preserving their known manipulation capabilities such as splashing (data entry), expand / collapse, Zero Suppression, etc.

Expand / Collapse on rows and columns

By clicking on the dimension, the dimensions on rows or columns can be expanded / collapsed to show / hide underlying child elements. Note that this feature has been adapted to work with a single click, as the Office-JS add-in does not support double-click events.

Notifications

The "Notify" messages in the notification section of the task pane will provide user feedback on the spreadsheet interactions. For example, error messages appear when entering invalid splashing commands, formula modifications with invalid syntax, etc.

Clearing cell content

Using keyboard shortcuts, a static View cell or a cell with a PALO.DATA formula can be replaced by the value "0" (zero) in a numeric cell or an empty string within a string cell, without deleting the existing formula.

Log in with SAML SSO

Once SAML has been enabled on your Jedox Cloud, users can now choose to log in to the Jedox Add-in for Excel 365 via SAML SSO.

Edit the POV (Point of View) Elements - Deprecated in version 2.3.0

You can manually edit the View's header dimensions, if you know the labels of the existing elements (string or number) within that dimension. The View automatically recognizes the element and retrieves the stored data according to the structure of the new View.
