Keyboard Shortcuts

Jedox offers a variety of shortcuts that enhance productivity and efficiency. Below you will find keyboard shortcuts for the Jedox Platform and the Jedox Excel Add-ins.

Jedox Platform Shortcuts

Write the value "0" (zero) Ctrl + Delete In a numeric cell with a PALO.DATA formula, writes 0 without deleting the existing formula.
Note that in consolidated numeric cells, the whole cube slice will be cleared. In the Reports mode, simply press the Delete key.
Write an empty string Ctrl + Delete In a string cell with a PALO.DATA formula, write an empty string without deleting the existing formula.
Deactivate an array function Ctrl + Enter Deactivate an array function by selecting the whole function array and using this shortcut in the formula bar at the end of the function.
Activate an array function Ctrl + Shift + Enter Activate an array function by selecting the whole function array and using this shortcut in the formula bar at the end of the function.
Add a value to various, noncontinuous cells
Ctrl + Selected cells Select one cell, then hold the Ctrl key and select additional cells. Once the cells have been selected, enter the value and press Enter . The value will then be applied to all the selected cells. You can also use input via a data validation list or the copy command.
Note that it is not necessary to press Ctrl + Enter, as it is with Microsoft Excel.
Rebuild a Jedox View Ctrl + Q None
Cancel changes to a formula Esc This is the same as clicking the X button on the toolbar.
Navigate up and down Page Up / Page Down In Jedox Spreadsheets
Close the current cell Shift + Enter Closes the current cell if input mode is active and selects only the one above it.
Close the current cell Shift + Tab Closes the current cell if input mode is active and selects only the one on its left.

Note: when you use tabs and arrow keys to navigate between unlocked cells in Reports or in the User Mode of the Designer, the behavior can be inconsistent if you navigate to unlocked cells positioned outside of the viewport.

Integrator Component Overview Shortcuts

You can use shortcuts when working in the element grid in the Jedox Modeler. Most Modeler shortcuts depend on the context, i.e., the current selection in the elements grid. Note that the shortcuts below apply to the “tree” view of the elements grid. Some of the shortcuts are not applicable to the “flat” view.

Jedox Excel Add-ins Shortcuts

Clear cell content Ctrl + Delete You can use this shortcut in one cell or in a cell range with PALO.DATA functions to write the value "0" in the corresponding numeric cube cell(s) or an empty string in the corresponding string cube cell(s) without deleting PALO.DATA functions. The benefit of this shortcut (in comparison to splashing 0) is to write "0" or "empty string" in multiple Jedox OLAP cells.
Rebuild Views Ctrl + Shift + Q This shortcut applies as of Jedox version 7.0 SR1. In previous versions, the shortcut to rebuild Views was Ctrl + Q. This change was necessary because Microsoft Excel uses Ctrl + Q to display quick analysis options for selected cells.

General
