Allocation Configuration Cube
Return to Profit Center Model Overview.
This cube contains the definition of all allocation processes. It consists of the following dimensions:
Batch Procedure Configuration: See article Batch Procedure Configuration Dimension (Profit Center Model).Profit Center: Unless stated otherwise for specific measures this dimension is not used. Values are stored on the~(Not applicable) element. For the content of this dimension see article Profit Center Dimension.Cost Object: Unless stated otherwise for specific measures this dimension is not used. Values are stored on the~(Not applicable) element. For the content of this dimension see article Cost Object Dimension- Elements in the
Allocation Configuration_measuredimension consist of the following groups:Measures on the root level
These are general measures which apply to the allocation step in totalElement
Definition
Allocation Method
Indicates the type of the allocation step to allocate costs between profit centers or cost objects. Valid values are:
Equal-PC-Intra: Equal distribution to Profit Centers (Intracompany)Equal-CO-Intra: Equal distribution to Cost Objects (Intracompany)Alloc-PC-Intra: Allocation by Profit Center key (Intracompany)Alloc-CO-Intra: Allocation by Cost Object key (Intracompany)IAA-PC-Intra: Internal activity allocation by Profit Center service relationships (Intracompany)IAA-CO-Intra: Internal activity allocation by Cost Object service relationships (Intracompany)
(string)Procedure Iterations
Indicates the number of times the whole allocation batch procedure should be executed. By default this is 1. Valid values are ordinals in the range 1 to 10. This measure is only valid on the executable procedure level of the Batch Procedure Configurationdimension. (string)Step Iterations
Indicates the number of times a step within the selected allocation method should be executed. By default this is 1. Valid values are ordinals in the range 1 to 10. This measure is only meaningful on the step level of the
Batch Procedure Configurationdimension. (integer)Measures in the Primary Cost group
The measures in this group define the values that are allocated through filtering on several dimensions. These are only valid if the allocation method is set toEqual-PC-Intra,Equal-CO-Intra,Alloc-PC-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra.Element

Primary Cost Partner Entity Operator
Defines the nature of the
Primary Cost Partner Entityfilter. Valid values areequal: The filter denotes an element name of the dimension.like: The filter is a regular expression pattern to match elements of the dimensioninrange: The filter is a numerical range returning elements greater or equal a minimum value and less or equal a maximum value, e.g.[1000,2000]inAlpharange: The filter is an alphanumerical range returning elements greater or equal a minimum value and less or equal a maximum value, e.g.[A1000,A2000]Subset: The filter is a global Subset.
(string)Primary Cost Partner Entity
Filters the values on the Partner Entitydimension. The valid values depend on thePrimary Cost Partner Entity Operatormeasure. When the filter selects consolidated elements the values are taken from their corresponding base elements. (string).Primary Cost Profit Center Operator
Defines the nature of the Primary Cost Profit Centerfilter. Valid values are the same as described above for thePrimary Cost Partner Entity Operatormeasure. (string)Primary Cost Profit Center
Filters the values on the Profit Centerdimension. The valid values depend on thePrimary Cost Profit Center Operatormeasure. When the filter selects consolidated elements the values are taken from their corresponding base elements. (string).Primary Cost Partner Profit Center Operator
Defines the nature of the Primary Cost Partner Profit Centerfilter. Valid values are the same as described above for thePrimary Cost Partner Entity Operatormeasure. (string)Primary Cost Partner Profit Center

Defines the nature of the Primary Cost Partner Cost Objectfilter. Valid values are the same as described above for thePrimary Cost Partner Entity Operatormeasure. (string)Primary Cost Partner Cost Object Filters the values on the Partner Cost Objectdimension. The valid values depend on thePrimary Cost Partner Cost Object Operatormeasure. When the filter selects consolidated elements the values are taken from their corresponding base elements. (string).Primary Cost PC Account Filters the values on the PC Accountdimension. Valid values are element names of this dimension. (string)Primary Cost Percentage Portion of the values to be allocated. The default is 1 (100%). Valid values are floating point values in the range 0...1. (numeric) Measures in the Allocation Key group
The measures in this group define the allocation key through which the values are allocated. The allocation key can be percentage values, amounts or non-monetary values. Unless the factors in the key already totalize to 100% the system automatically computes new factors for each share. These are only valid if the allocation method is one ofEqual-PC-Intra,Equal-CO-Intra,Alloc-PC-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra.Element

Allocation Key PC Account This measure is only valid if the allocation method is Alloc-PC-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra. Filters the values on thePC Accountdimension. Valid values are element names of this dimension. (string)Allocation Key Currency This measure is only valid if the allocation method is Alloc-PC-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra. Filters the values on theCurrencydimension. Valid values are element names of this dimension (e.g.LC). (string)Allocation Key Filter Type Filter elements of the allocation dimension (the
Profict Centerdimension if allocation method isEqual-PC-IntraorAlloc-PC-Intraor theCost Objectdimension if allocation method isEqual-CO-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra). Valid values arenone: No additional filter is applied to the allocation dimension. If the allocation method isEqual-PC-IntraorEqual-CO-Intraall base elements of the dimensions receive an equal share. If the allocation method isAlloc-PC-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intraall base elements having a factor in the allocation key receive a share proportional to the factor in the key.dimension: The elements of the allocation dimension are filtered as specified byAllocation Key Dimension Filter OperatorandAllocation Key Dimension Filter.picklist: The elements of the allocation dimension are filtered to all elements having1onAllocation Key Picklist Filter
(string)Allocation Key Dimension Filter Operator This measure is only valid if the Allocation Key Filter Typemeasure is set todimension. Defines the nature of theAllocation Key Dimension Filter. Valid values are the same as described above for thePrimary Cost Partner Entity Operatormeasure. (string)Allocation Key Dimension Filter This measure is only valid if the Allocation Key Filter Typemeasure is set todimension. Filters the values on the allocation dimension (theProfit Centeror theCost Objectdimension). The valid values depend on theAllocation Key Dimension Filter Operatormeasure. (string).Allocation Key Picklist Filter This measure is only valid if the Allocation Key Filter Typemeasure is set todimension. Values are stored in the elements of theProfit Center(if allocation method isEqual-PC-IntraorAlloc-PC-Intra) or theCost Object(if allocation method isEqual-CO-IntraorAlloc-CO-Intra) dimension. Valid values are0or1. (numeric)Measures in the Service Relationships group
The measures in this group define the relationships between a provider and a consumer of an internal service. These are often non-monetary values (e.g. hours, number of devices, floor space, etc.) which are cross charged at a service rate. The combination of the service relationship and service rate charged to an internal consumer is known as the Internal Activity Allocation (IAA). The measures in this group are only valid if the allocation method isIAA-PC-IntraorIAA-CO-Intra. When the allocation method isIAA-PC-Intrathe provider is theProfit Centerand the consumer is thePartner Profict Centerdimension. When the allocation method isIAA-CO-Intrathe provider is theCost Objectand the consumer is thePartner Cost Objectdimension.Element
