JedoxAI FAQ
Top questions
JedoxAI is designed for both end users to get quick insights from data and power users who manage more complex, data-driven reporting tasks.
The primary goal of JedoxAI is to simplify data interactions by providing quick, AI-generated reports and insights based on natural language queries, making it easier for users to access and analyze complex business data.
JedoxAI runs within the Jedox platform and is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Users need access to a Jedox instance and a supported web browser to use JedoxAI.
JedoxAI follows the same security protocols as the rest of the Jedox platform, utilizing Microsoft Azure’s advanced data protection standards to ensure that all user data is handled securely and privately.
How to Use JedoxAI
Simply select a database and cube on the Jedox start page, then type your query using natural language (e.g., "Show me Q1 2023 sales by region"). JedoxAI will generate a Dynatable with your requested data.
Yes, you can ask questions that span multiple dimensions, such as Time, Region, and Product. For example, "What were the sales in Europe for 2023, broken down by product?".
"Compare sales in 2022 and 2023 for Product A"
"What are my bike sales in June 2023?"
"What were the top products sold in the last quarter?"
"Stationary PCs Qtr. 3 Budget Actual"
Currently, JedoxAI generates Dynatables based on your queries. In future releases, charting and data visualization options will also be available.
You can refine your query by adjusting the database or cube selected or by providing more specific parameters in your query (e.g., adding timeframes or specific product lines).
Features
JedoxAI supports ad-hoc report generation, multidimensional data analysis, data summarization, and detailed insights. Read more in Features in JedoxAI.
Data Summarization allows users to get a quick overview of the generated Dynatable. Read more here.
Detailed Insights go beyond summarization by providing deeper analysis, contextual trends, and actionable suggestions based on the data retrieved in the Dynatable. Read more here.
Yes, JedoxAI supports querying across multiple dimensions (e.g., Time, Product, Region) and presents the data in the form of a comprehensive Dynatable.
Yes, JedoxAI supports exporting detailed insights as PDF documents for easy sharing and offline use. Read more here.
Performance
JedoxAI typically generates reports (Dynatables) and summaries within 5–10 seconds. Complex queries with large datasets may take slightly longer.
JedoxAI is optimized for performance and can handle large datasets efficiently by utilizing cloud-based resources. However, performance may vary based on the size and complexity of the query.
If you notice slower performance, try breaking down your query into smaller segments or apply additional filters to reduce the data load. Ensure that your internet connection is stable and that the dataset you're querying is not overly large.
Integration & Compatibility
Yes, JedoxAI can pull data from any external database that has been integrated with Jedox via the Integrator. This allows for flexible querying across multiple data sources.
Currently, JedoxAI is optimized for desktop use, but mobile support and a responsive interface are planned for future updates.
Security
JedoxAI is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which adheres to strict security standards, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and regular audits to ensure data security.
No, JedoxAI does not store conversations or queries after the user logs out. The session data is cleared to protect your privacy and ensure compliance with data security standards.
Each user interacts with their own session and has isolated access to their data. While users can query the same cubes and databases, they do not see each other's data unless permissions are shared through Jedox’s role-based access control.
