What is the primary purpose of JedoxAI?
The primary goal of JedoxAI is to simplify data interactions by providing quick, AI-generated analyses and insights based on natural language queries, making it easier for users to access and understand complex business data.
What are the system requirements for using JedoxAI?
JedoxAI runs within the Jedox platform. Users need access to a Jedox instance and a supported web browser to use JedoxAI.
How secure is JedoxAI?
JedoxAI follows the same security protocols as the rest of the Jedox platform, utilizing Microsoft Azure’s advanced data protection standards to ensure that all user data is handled securely and privately.
What is the Reporting Agent?
The Reporting Agent acts as the mastermind behind your analyses, assessing Dynatables and KPIs to identify key drivers and uncover what truly impacts your performance. It provides data insights, detailed analysis for multidimensional queries, attribute support, multi-turn conversations, and chat history, among other features.
What is the Knowledge Agent?
The Knowledge Agent provides assistance within Jedox platform. It sifts through the Jedox Knowledge Base, Jedox Academy, Jedox Consultant Best Practices, and Jedox4Beginners to proactively guide users in understanding fields, steps, configurations, and technical issues, as well as in generating lightweight code snippets and reviewing scripts for Integrator projects.
How to use JedoxAI
How do I get started with JedoxAI?
JedoxAI is generally available for users within Jedox platform. You can access the Knowledge Agent from the Jedox Homepage or from the new Integrator UI. The Reporting Agent is available in Dynatables or with the Data Insights option in the context menu accessible from any planning cell in Reports or in the Designer, from a KPI card, or an embedded web spreadsheed.
Can I ask questions related to multiple data dimensions?
Yes, you can ask questions that span multiple dimensions, such as Time, Region, and Product. For example, "What were the sales in Europe for 2023".
What are some example prompts I can use with JedoxAI?
"Show me a multi-year comparison of revenue, COGS, and Gross Profit for 2024 and 2025."
“Show me the turnover of the last 4 years."
"Show me the top 10 products by sales.”
Can I view data in multiple formats?
JedoxAI generates textual analyses, charts, and tables based on your queries. Some of these visualizations can be downloaded for later use.
How can I refine my query if JedoxAI doesn't provide the desired results?
You can refine your query by adjusting the configuration of the cube selected or by providing more specific parameters in your query (e.g., adding timeframes or specific product lines), as well as using the replay option to regenerate the query.

What features are included in JedoxAI?
JedoxAI offers data insights for KPI performance commentary, attribute support, multi-turn conversations, detailed analysis for multidimensional complex queries, context awareness, ad-hoc view generation, and chat history, among other features.
What is the "Data Insights" feature in JedoxAI?
Data Insights is a feature from the Reporting Agent. It takes the context provided to generate detailed analysis of KPI performance, compares actual and budget versions as well as different time periods, lists the drivers behind KPIs and shows their respective impact.
Can JedoxAI handle multidimensional reporting?
No, this feature will be implemented in a near future.
Can I download the data or insights generated by JedoxAI?
JedoxAI supports the download of charts and tables, as well as the copy of textual analyses.
Performance
How does JedoxAI handle large datasets?
JedoxAI is optimized for performance and can handle large datasets efficiently by utilizing cloud-based resources. However, performance may vary based on the size and complexity of the query.
What should I do if JedoxAI is slow?
If you notice slower performance, try breaking down your query into smaller segments or apply additional filters to reduce the data load. Ensure that your internet connection is stable and that the dataset you're querying is not overly large.
Integration & Compatibility
Can JedoxAI be integrated with external databases?
Yes, JedoxAI can pull data from any external database that has been integrated with Jedox via the Integrator. This allows for flexible querying across multiple data sources.
Does JedoxAI work with mobile devices?
Currently, JedoxAI is optimized for desktop use.
Security
How does JedoxAI ensure data security?
JedoxAI is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which adheres to strict security standards, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and regular audits to ensure data security.
Is my data stored after I log out of JedoxAI?
No, JedoxAI does not store conversations or queries after the user logs out. The session data is cleared to protect your privacy and ensure compliance with data security standards.
Can multiple users access the same data through JedoxAI?
Each user interacts with their own session and has isolated access to their data. While users can query the same cubes and databases, they do not see each other's data unless permissions are shared through Jedox’s role-based access control.
Regional availability
Is JedoxAI enabled by default in every region?
No. Because of how Microsoft processes AI requests, Jedox uses a regional setup designed to keep customer data within the customer’s region.
However, for the regions listed below, certain data may be temporarily transmitted from the designated hosting location to a Microsoft data center in another region for the purpose of processing AI-driven requests (for example, prompt processing and response generation).

For customers in the latter regions, JedoxAI is disabled by default. If you would like to enable JedoxAI, explicit approval is required. Please provide written confirmation to your Customer Success Manager stating that you acknowledge and accept that temporary cross-region data processing may occur as described above.
After your Customer Success Manager receives your confirmation, JedoxAI will be enabled for your environment.
Please note:

The data transfer is limited to what is necessary to provide the requested AI functionality.

The data is processed transiently in the AI service and is not used by Microsoft to train underlying models.

Jedox ensures that appropriate data protection safeguards are in place, including contractual arrangements with Microsoft in line with GDPR.

Your primary data storage location and overall system architecture remain unchanged.
If you prefer not to use these AI capabilities, your existing Jedox services will continue to operate without any changes.
