Autosave in Jedox
You should save changes to your spreadsheets regularly to avoid losing work. Jedox will not prompt you to save if you logout or close your browser window. It will, however, prompt you to save if you leave the spreadsheet but stay logged in to the Jedox environment. Be sure to save your data with "File → Save" in your Jedox spreadsheet before logging out or closing the browser window.
Upon closing Jedox Web by logging out or closing your browser window, all unsaved data will be lost.
Jedox automatically saves the currently opened spreadsheets at regular intervals. The default autosave interval is 900 seconds (15 minutes). Cloud customers can request changes to this interval by contacting Jedox Support.
The autosave files are handled as follows:
- If a user explicitly closes a workbook for which autosave files exist without saving, the autosave files created in this user's current session are removed.
- If a workbook is saved, all autosave files for this workbook are removed.
If at login there are newer versions than the last saved version due to autosave, these workbook files appear with a green dot in Designer:
