Financial Consolidation Release Notes

This update brings new features, performance enhancements, and key bug fixes reporting experience—centered around improved navigation and Canvas reports.

Platform Requirement: This update requires Jedox Platform Version 2024.2 or later to be installed.

Before the update: Make a note of the current value of the CRTX filter (which controls the consolidation rate of the legal entity within the scope of the partner entity in the Consolidation Rule Configuration Report for each consolidation rule).

After the update: The CRTX filter will be reset to its default value: 0 (Off). (This does not impact any existing rule calculations.)

• If the filter was previously set to 1 (On), you will need to manually change it back to 1 (On) after the update. Then, run "Update Consolidation Rules" from the Consolidation Rules report.

• If the filter was already set to 0 (Off), no further action is required.

New Features:

• Added Canvas Side Navigation to enhance user navigation experience. (#JCM-421)

• Enabled Framesets to open reports alongside the new Side Navigation. (#JCM-423)

• Introduced a new Canvas report: Start Page FCCS. (#JCM-422, #SCMT-829)

• Redefined the following FCCS reports to Canvas format:

  • Group GAAP Corrected Breakdown FCCS. (#JCM-413)

  • Scope of Consolidation FCCS. (#JCM-408)

  • Intercompany Matrix FCCS. (#JCM-409)

  • Intercompany Relation Summary FCCS. (#JCM-426)

  • Intercompany Relation FCCS. (#JCM-428)

  • Cash Flow Mapping FCCS. (#JCM-412, #SCMT-831)

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an issue that caused a #VALUE error in the Intercompany Relations Summary Report when consolidation rule IDs contained double digits. (#SCMT-742, #SCMT-808)

• Disabled consolidation rules are now properly excluded from Intercompany Matching Reports. (#SCMT-768)

• The CRTX dimension attribute data type has been corrected from string to the appropriate format. (#SCMT-830)

Optimizations:

• Staging Area: Enable selection of "All Group Account" when integrating mapped values.

Enhancements:

• Manual Journal Entries are now properly deleted.
  

• Corrected cell formatting for the subtitle in the "Consolidated Balance Sheet by Consolidation Level" report, which previously led to incorrect export values.

New Features: Staging Area and Merge Equity

Staging Area:

• Facilitate data integration, enhance traceability, and ensure accurate financial reporting by centralizing data.

Merge Equity:

• Streamline equity account management by centrally incorporating historic rates from the Investment Register. This approach accelerates data collection, enhances data quality, and eliminates the need for repetitive manual entry in separate financial statements.

New Features: Total Divestment Extension

• Added a Business Transaction Type filter in the Analyze Consolidation Rule report.

Extended Sample Data:

• Descriptions have been added for consolidation rules C6 and C7.

Optimizations:

• Implemented caching in the transform component of the posting journal.

• Improved the appearance of the POV section by eliminating grid lines that appeared in certain cases.

• Set the default value for the Permanent attribute of new manual journal entries to false.

New feature: Total Divestment

New base package functionality:

• Business transaction type '2' (Total divestment).

• Group (of execution) for consolidation rules.

• Consolidation rule filter on the existence of business transaction(s) of a specific type in the Investment Register.

• In the Consolidation Rules report: column Group (of execution).

• In the Consolidation Rule report: filter on business transaction type.

• Suppress Debt Consolidation for completely divested entities.

• Suppress Elimination of Unrealized Profit on Inventory for completely divested entities.

Extended sample data:

• Business transaction of type '2' (Total divestment) in the Investment Register and corresponding local GAAP values in the Separate Balance Sheet of the direct owner.

• Consolidation rule C6: Divestment measures for direct owners.

• Consolidation rule C7: Divestment of non-controlling interests.

New features:

• Added new business transaction types for capital increase and capital decrease.

• Added new consolidation functions InvRegPEQMoveHist and InvRegPEQMoveFXDiff.

• New consolidation functions CRTLE and NCRLE were added to the consolidation engine.

• A new capital consolidation rule, C5 - Capital increase (decrease), was added to the sample configuration.

• Added new business transactions for capital increase and capital decrease to sample data.

New feature:

• Added data validations for Dimensions 6-15 for journal entries for Consolidation and Segment Consolidation ledgers.

Changes:

• The consolidated financial statement has been modified: 1. Included additional account filter, 2. Split into one for Balance Sheet and one for Profit & Loss. (#JCM-363)

• The sign of journal entry lines posted to the Cash Flow or Cash Flow (Segment) cubes for Cash Flow accounts with the Proceeds type has changed. (#SCMT-536)

• The Consolidation Rule filter on the intercompany matching report did not select all relations of 1 consolidation rule. Update Scenario: When updating from an earlier version, please go to report Consolidation Rules and run Update Consolidation Rules!

Changes:

• Removed deprecated setting configuration.transaction_type_fx_diff.

New feature:

• Workflow tasks for Actual 2021-01_YTD added.

Changes:

• Consolidated financial statements are now included in the Sample Data extension package (for Actual 2020-12_YTD and 2021-01_YTD).

• Attribute Sign Standard deleted in dimension Legal Entity (now in new dimension Chart of Accounts).

• New UI is available for the Scope of Consolidation report with 4 different tabs for Direct Ownership Rate, Profit Margin, Tax Rate, and Scope.

Changes:

• The Financial Consolidation model requires Jedox 22.2 or higher.

• Posting Journal Data validations were missing when checking entries in Legal Entity, Partner Entity, and Accounts (PnL Account, BS, Account, CF Account, etc.) Dimensions were missing.

New features:

• Intercompany Relation Summary report has additional filters, including Legal Entity, Partner Entity, and Consolidation Rule for detailed analysis.

• Intercompany Matrix now shows Difference amounts. Also extended the report with additional combo boxes for the Measure and Consolidation Rule.
