Semi-Additive Measures (Balance Sheet and Projected Balance Sheet Models)
Return to Models Overview
The Balance Sheet
cube is set up to handle semi-additive measures. The semi-additive behavior can be declared for elements of the Transaction Type
dimension and will affect the aggregation along the Month
dimension. For some elements in the Transaction Type
dimension, exceptions from semi-additive behavior have been defined:
Transaction Type element | Semi-additive aggregation |
Opening
|
First child: only the first value is used for the aggregation along the Month dimension, e.g 2016 will be equal to 2016-01 . |
~ and Closing |
Last child: only the last value is used for the aggregation along the Month dimension, e.g. 2016 will be equal to 2016-12 . |
The semi-additive behavior can be set to Average of children
, First child
, or Last child
For some elements in the Month
dimension, exceptions from aggregation behavior have been defined:
Month element |
Aggregation inclusion |
|
Data Total: the value will be added to the first, last, or average value of the regular month elements. |
