The Settings section of the Administration component in Jedox Web allows you to modify various Jedox Web settings as well as add new and even custom settings for your Jedox installation:
Settings are identified by their key (the name of the setting) and grouped into various categories. The following Jedox option keys can be enabled in Global Settings:
|Enables and disables most IN-PREVIEW UI features in Jedox Web.|
|Enables sending email on behalf of someone else, particularly in an automated process, e.g. for a workflow process.|
|spreadsheet.olap.undo||Disables controls for using Undo functionality (setting undo locks, undoing changes etc.) in Jedox Web reports for all users.|
Custom settings created in the Settings section can be fetched in Reports by using the spreadsheet function CONFIG.GET(). You can also assign access rights to settings.
To modify an existing settings key, double-click it in the list. Alternatively, you can select it and use the Edit Key button in the toolbar.
To add a new key, click the Add Key button in the toolbar. You can create keys for the Global scope, or for one of the installed Models. Keys are assigned a type, such as string, integer, etc. The type is used to validate the input for the value of the settings key. Values of type “password” will be encrypted.
To add a new key in a folder, enter
<folder name>.[<subfolder name>.]<key name> in the Key field.
The delimiters are points. If the folder name does not exist, it will be created anew. Use lower-case characters. The UI will displays the folder names with the first letter in uppercase.

To edit the access rights of a setting key, select the key in the list and click the Security button in the toolbar. Access rights are only used for custom settings keys, not for keys used by the system.
