Page Layout Tab in Jedox Ribbon

The Page Layout tab in the Jedox ribbon provides tools to manage the structure and formatting of your workbook, ensuring that your data is well-organized and presentation-ready.

Here’s an overview of its features, grouped by functionality:

File Management

  • Save: Ensures that any changes made to the workbook are saved. Regularly saving your work prevents data loss.

  • Print preview: Preview your workbook as it will appear when printed. This feature allows you to verify page breaks and alignment, and adjust margins and scaling before printing.

Layout Adjustments

  • Page setup: Define page layout settings to control how your workbook appears on printed pages. Options include: setting margins, orientation (portrait or landscape), and paper size. You can also configure headers and footers.

Insertion Tools

  • Insert rows: Add new rows to your workbook to accommodate additional data. New rows are inserted above the selected row.

  • Insert columns: Insert new columns to expand your data structure. Columns are added to the left of the selected column.

  • Insert sheet: Create a new worksheet within your workbook. This is useful for organizing data into separate tabs for better clarity and navigation.

  • Insert Canvas: Add a new canvas for advanced visualizations or custom layouts. The canvas feature allows for a flexible and interactive design space.

Deletion Tools

  • Delete rows: Remove unnecessary rows from your workbook. This action deletes the selected rows and shifts the remaining data up.

  • Delete columns: Remove unwanted columns to streamline your data. Deleting a column shifts the remaining data to the left.

Dimension Adjustments

  • Row height: Manually set the height of selected rows for better visibility or presentation. Adjusting row height can make your workbook more visually appealing and easier to read.

  • Autofit row heights: Automatically adjust row heights to fit the content within cells. This ensures that all text or data is fully visible without manual resizing.

  • Column width: Specify the width of selected columns for precise control over cell spacing. Adjust column width to align with the amount of data displayed.

  • Autofit column width: Automatically resize columns to fit the widest content in each column. This feature improves the readability and layout of your data.
