Display Tab in Jedox Ribbon
The Display tab in the Jedox ribbon provides various options to control the visibility and arrangement of elements in your workbook. These tools help you customize your workspace by managing panes, splitting views, hiding or revealing components, and optimizing the display of information for better navigation and usability.
Basic Display Management
-
Save: Ensures that any changes made to the workbook display settings are preserved, maintaining the preferred view setup.
-
Freeze Panes: Locks specific rows or columns to keep important data visible while scrolling. Options include, Freeze Panes (locks selected rows and columns), Freeze Top Row (keeps the first row visible as you scroll), Freeze First Column (keeps the first column visible as you scroll).
-
Split: Divides the workbook into separate sections, allowing independent scrolling in different areas for better data analysis.
View Arrangement
-
Arrange All: Organizes multiple open workbooks or sheets into different layouts for easier comparison. Common arrangements include, Tiled (evenly distributes all open windows), Horizontal (stacks windows from top to bottom), Vertical (places windows side by side), and Cascade (overlaps windows for easy switching).
-
Open Documents: Displays a list of all open documents, enabling quick navigation and access between different workbooks.
Visibility Controls
-
Hide / Unhide: Manage the visibility of different elements within the workbook. Hide temporarily removes selected worksheets, columns, or rows from view, and Unhide restores previously hidden worksheets, columns, or rows.
-
Checkboxes for Display Customization: Customize the visibility of specific interface components to enhance usability. Formula Bar displays or hides the formula bar, where users enter or edit formulas. Status Bar toggles the status bar at the bottom of the workbook, which provides information about selected data and calculation modes. Hidden Objects shows or hides objects such as charts, images, or shapes embedded in the workbook. Frames toggles the visibility of frames that define section boundaries within the workbook.
