SAP Organizational Unit Extract

This extract retrieves organizational and staffing structure information of SAP ERP systems as a tree. The information can be displayed with the SAP transactions PPOM/PPOME/PPOMW.

Structure elements that can be retrieved are:

  • Organizational Unit (O)
  • Position (S)
  • Person/Employee (P)

Settings

Connection SAP connection name.
Organizational unit Organizational unit ID
  • Only the numerical value of the ID is needed (without letters like O, P, S)
  • Can be obtained in SAP Logon. If the column is not visible, it can be added via the Column Configuration menu. See example below.
Plan version Organization plan version (optional)
Date Actual date, specific point in time for which the organizational data is retrieved (optional)

Detailed information on the structure elements can be retrieved by specifying names of tree attributes for the following particular entities, such as description and name. Attribute fields are optional. If a field is left empty, the attribute will not be created. (To view data, format PCWA is recommended.)

Name attribute Name of the staff assignment department or title
Controlling area attribute Controlling area code
Cost center attribute Structure cost center
Job code attribute Job code, position within the organizational structure
Job title attribute Job title
