Qlik Extract

This extract type provides data extraction from QlikSense Server after defining Qlik Virtual Proxy as described in the Qlik Connection.

Main Settings

Qlik Connection:

Name of the Qlik Connection.

 Qlik Application Name 1) :

Name of the Qlik Application Name. Note that applications are hidden to the outside until they are published.

Qlik Table Name 1) :

Name of one table of the data structure that Qlik Application uses. Tables can be seen from Data-Manager on Qlik server.

Row Count (optional):

The total number of rows which can be fetched from the server. Max number is 2.147.483.647 (default value).

Offset (optional):

Offset number for the table. A specified amount of the number will be passed from the beginning of the table.

1) If the connection configuration is correct, the selected box provides context-aware selection by using dynamically fetched data from the server.

  • If Qlik Sense Server serves outside of the Corporate Firewall/Network, then it might be necessary to add IP or hostname of the Qlik Server to Qlik White Host list.
This enables to open Qlik engine communication. If this is not done, the test of the Qlik Extract fails even if the Qlik connection is tested successfully.
  • In contrast to the Qlik Load which uses QMC API, Qlik Extract uses technically the Qlik engine api to provide data from Qlik Server based on WebSocket technology.
