To connect Jedox Excel Add-in with Jedox Web, click on the Jedox Wizard button on the right side of the Jedox Ribbon.
Here you can create a new server connection, or edit or unregister an existing connection. In the case of Jedox Web connections, you can define multiple connections in parallel, but one of these connections must be designated as the default connection. This default connection is then used in the corresponding dialogs, such as the “Publish” and “Edit Jedox Spreadsheet” dialogs, which allow the use of Jedox Web spreadsheets in Excel and vice versa.
As of Jedox 7.0, the default connection is also used for the Modeler in Jedox Excel Add-in.
Note: in all cases where the user interface is provided by Jedox Web, the Jedox Web language setting for the default connection will be used.

To publish Excel files in Jedox Web or to load Jedox spreadsheets from Jedox Web in Excel, the following conditions must be met:
- A valid URL connection in the displayed format with a port specification.
- Valid user and password entries.
- The security token must match the entry following CFG_SECRET in the file
- The connection must be defined as “Default” with a checkmark, as indicated with a 1 in the screenshot above.
If these conditions are met, Excel Add-in can export Excel files to Jedox Web and load Jedox spreadsheets in Excel.
Changing the active Jedox Web connection
As of version 7.0 SR1, the default connection used by the Excel Add-in dialogs which access Jedox Web can be changed from each dialog directly. To change the connection, right-click the header bar of any Web dialog (for example Modeler), and select the connection from the context menu. The selected connection will then be used in the opened dialog, and other dialogs which access Jedox Web.
